Our Founder
The 180 Program was founded in 2004 by Dr. Raphael B. Johnson. Dr. Johnson draws upon his own experiences and the poor decisions he made as a troubled adolescent to connect with today's youth who are facing similar challenges. By sharing his personal journey, he not only offers relatable insights but also demonstrates that change is possible. His candid approach helps him establish trust and rapport with young people, allowing him to guide them towards healthier choices and brighter futures.
Through the pro-social behavior curriculum of The 180 Program, Dr. Johnson aims to inspire resilience and hope in those who may feel lost or misunderstood. For thirteen seasons, he was the behavioral expert on The Maury Show for "out-of-control teens." He has award-winning research recognized by Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, Ireland. He has had a professional development series adopted by Georgia Southern University.
