The 180 Program Foundation is committed to recognizing and supporting high school graduates who demonstrate exceptional pro-social behavior and a strong dedication to service. Each year, the Foundation offers scholarships to motivate students to reflect on their personal growth and to inspire positive change in their communities.
Through the pro-social behavior curriculum of The 180 Program, Dr. Johnson aims to inspire resilience and hope in those who may feel lost or misunderstood. For thirteen seasons, he was the behavioral expert on The Maury Show for "out-of-control teens." He has award-winning research recognized by Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, Ireland. He has had a professional development series adopted by Georgia Southern University.

Qualification Benchmarks
To qualify for these scholarships, student applicants must meet the following criteria:
Academic Standing
Must be a high school graduate with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
Impact of Services
Demonstrated active participation in school-wide pro-social behavior support and mentoring services provided by The 180 Program Foundation
Personal Reflection
Ability to thoughtfully identify and articulate their past mistakes, overcoming challenges, and ongoing efforts to serve others
Community Involvement
Evidence of positive contributions to their community, emphasizing leadership, empathy, and a commitment to making a difference
Letter of Recommendation
A letter from a teacher, mentor, or community leader endorsing the applicant’s personal growth and service orientation



Scholarship Opportunities
Johnny Havard Scholarship Award
$500 to $10,000
Eligibility:
Male high school graduates that receive school-wide pro-social behavior support and mentoring services provided by The 180 Program Foundation.
Application Requirements:
- An essay identifying the worst decision they have made in their lives.
- How that decision negatively impacted others.
- How they have overcome that decision.
- Their current efforts in preventing others from making similar decisions.

Floradel Walker Scholarship Award
$500 to $10,000
Eligibility:
Female high school graduates that receive school-wide pro-social behavior support and mentoring services provided by The 180 Program Foundation.
Application Requirements:
- An essay identifying the worse difficulty factor they’ve had to face in their lives.
- How they were impacted by the difficulty factor.
- How they have overcome that difficulty factor.
- Their current efforts in helping others who face a similar difficulty factor.

- Submit your personal essay along with your academic transcripts and letters of recommendation
- Ensure all application materials are submitted by the annual deadline of April 1st.
